RAIPUR,CG: The Chhattisgarh government has intensified efforts to recover outstanding land dues from industries operating in Bilaspur’s industrial areas, including Sirgitti, Tifra, and Silphari. In the past month alone, the lease of four industries has been canceled, and strict instructions have been issued to revoke plots from defaulters. So far, ₹3.62 crore has been recovered, with the process ongoing.
Currently, nearly 300 industrial units owe over ₹10 crore in pending dues. Industries failing to make timely payments face penalties ranging from 12% to 24%, calculated and generated online. As per regulations, ground rent and maintenance fees must be paid by January 10 each year, failing which fines are imposed.
The Chief General Manager of the District Trade and Industry Center has been issuing continuous notices, urging industrialists to clear their dues immediately through online payment. The Industries Department has also clarified that no services will be provided to defaulters.
For industries facing difficulties in making payments, they can contact A. Sridhar Rao, Manager, CSIDC Branch Office, Tifra, or visit the District Trade and Industry Center, Bilaspur for assistance.
