Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh Inspects New Assembly Building Under Construction

RAIPUR,CG,INDIA: Chhattisgarh Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh visited Nawa Raipur, Atal Nagar on Monday to inspect the construction progress of the new assembly building. During the visit, he received a detailed briefing from Public Works Department officials and provided necessary directives regarding the ongoing work.

Dr. Raman Singh reviewed the progress of key structures, including the Assembly House, Secretariat, Chief Minister's Office, offices for the Assembly Speaker, Deputy Speaker, and Leader of Opposition, Central Hall, and Library. He also assessed the development of other essential facilities such as ministerial chambers, meeting halls, lounges, canteens, and the auditorium.

Emphasizing the significance of the project, Dr. Singh stated that the new assembly building in Nawa Raipur will not only be equipped with state-of-the-art facilities but will also reflect Chhattisgarh’s rich democratic traditions. He instructed officials to maintain high construction standards and ensure timely completion. He further noted that the modern infrastructure will enhance the legislative process, providing an efficient and well-equipped environment for governance.

The inspection was attended by Leader of Opposition Dr. Charandas Mahant, Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao, Food Minister  Dayaldas Baghel, Forest and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kedar Kashyap, Industries Minister Lakhanlal Dewangan, Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal, Finance Minister O.P. Chaudhary, Women and Child Development Minister Laxmi Rajwade, Revenue Minister Tankaram Verma, along with several other ministers, MLAs, senior Assembly Secretariat officials, and Public Works Department representatives.
