Chhattisgarh Government reshuffles five IAS officers

RAIPUR,INDIA: In a minor administrative reshuffle, the Chhattisgarh government has transferred five IAS officers to new positions.

Abhijeet Singh, a 2012-batch IAS officer, has been appointed as the new district collector of Durg. He was previously serving as the special secretary in the department of home and jail.

The Raipur Municipal Corporation (RMC) has also seen a leadership change. Abinash Singh, a 2018-batch IAS officer and the outgoing municipal commissioner, has been transferred as the district collector of Dhamtari. He will be succeeded by Vishwadeep, a 2019-batch IAS officer, who takes charge at RMC following the recent assumption of office by new Mayor Meenal Choubey.

Rena Jamil, a 2019-batch IAS officer, has been appointed as secretary of the Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission. She will also hold the additional charge of deputy secretary in the department of commerce and industry.

Kumar Biswaranjan, a 2020-batch IAS officer, will now serve as the chief executive officer (CEO) of the Raipur District Panchayat. He was previously the chief operating officer at Chhattisgarh Infotech Promotion Society (CHiPS).
