NIT Raipur to organise FDP on Innovation, Entrepreneurship

RAIPUR,INDIA: The NIT Raipur Foundation for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (NIT Raipur FIE), a technology business incubator supported by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, is set to organize a Faculty Development Program (FDP) on Innovation and Entrepreneurship. The program, backed by the Innovation Cell of the Ministry of Science and Technology, will be conducted from March 17 to March 21, 2025.

The five-day FDP aims to equip faculty members, IIC convenors, e-cell faculty in-charges, incubation managers, and innovation catalysts with the necessary skills and knowledge to foster innovation and entrepreneurship within their institutions. The sessions will focus on mentoring student startups, managing innovation-driven initiatives, supporting research commercialization, and encouraging interdisciplinary collaboration.

NIT Raipur Director Prof. N.V. Ramna Rao emphasized the critical role of innovation and entrepreneurship in shaping the future of both the economy and the education system. He stated that the FDP is designed to empower faculty members to build a strong entrepreneurial ecosystem within their institutions and inspire future innovators.

Dr. Anuj K. Shukla, faculty in charge of NIT Raipur FIE, highlighted that the program aims to bridge the gap between academia and entrepreneurship. It will provide practical insights into technology transfer, research commercialization, and startup incubation, encouraging faculty members to take full advantage of this learning opportunity.
