BILASPUR,INDIA: Professor Alok Kumar Chakrawal, Vice-Chancellor of Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya (a Central University with an A++ NAAC grade), was honored with the Excellence in Research Collaboration Award under the International Higher Education Excellence Award 2024 at Shinawatra University, Thailand.
The university’s President, Zhou Fe, presented the award to Prof. Chakrawal, recognizing his contributions to international academic collaboration. In his speech, Prof. Chakrawal highlighted India’s growing global influence in research, innovation, and development under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership. He emphasized India's commitment to the principle of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam (the world is one family) and its efforts in addressing global challenges.
Prof. Chakrawal also spoke about the long-standing cultural and social ties between India and Thailand. He noted that India’s National Education Policy plays a crucial role in shaping the country’s future, aiming to create a skilled and knowledgeable youth workforce to achieve the goal of making India a developed nation by 2047.
The ongoing MoU between the two institutions will promote academic and research collaboration, allowing faculty and researchers to access advanced analytical facilities and drive high-quality research initiatives.
