Budget Session: Plays traditional Holi

CM, MLAs celebrate Holi in State Assembly premises

RAIPUR,CG,INDIA: A vibrant Holi Milan ceremony was held on Wednesday in the assembly premises, where Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh, Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai, and Leader of Opposition Dr. Charandas Mahant, along with all MLAs, gathered to celebrate the festival. They greeted each other by applying colors, creating an atmosphere filled with joy and festivity. The event showcased the spirit of Holi, bringing leaders together beyond political differences.

The celebration was deeply rooted in folk traditions, with ministers and legislators performing traditional Phag songs. The cultural richness of the festival was evident as the assembly premises resonated with music and festivity. Revenue Minister Tankaram Verma performed a soulful rendition of Murali, the Small Shyam Kanhaiya Song, while MLA Kunwar Singh Nishad captivated the audience with Phagun Mast Mahina and Dar Raja Geet of Chana. MLA Dilip Lahariya enchanted the gathering with Kadali Cachar Across the River, and MLAs Ramkumar Yadav and Chaturi Nand also contributed with their performances.

Popular poet Dr. Surendra Dubey entertained the audience with his witty and colorful Holi poetry, adding a touch of humor and festivity. Along with him, Rakesh Tiwari and his team delivered energetic cultural performances. In appreciation of their contributions, Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh and Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai honored Dr. Dubey, Mr. Tiwari, and his team.

The event was attended by Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao, Forest Minister Kedar Kashyap, Agriculture Minister Ramvichar Netam, Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal, Food Minister Dayaldas Baghel, and Labor Minister Lakhanlal Dewangan, along with several MLAs and assembly officials.

The Holi Milan ceremony brought together leaders and officials in a shared celebration, highlighting the joy of cultural traditions and strengthening the spirit of unity and festivity.
