NEW DELHI,INDIA: NADD Foundation’s renowned multi-city classical music festival, Music for Harmony, is set to take place in the capital of India on March 19th and 20th at Triveni Kala Sangam, Tansen Marg, New Delhi, from 6 PM onwards.
Dedicated to the cherished memory of Pandit Prabhakar Karekar and Ustad Zakir Hussain, this festival will bring together an illustrious lineup of Indian classical musicians. The event will feature mesmerizing performances by vocalists Diya Bhaumik, Sunil Kulkarni, Vishvanath Dashrathe, and Iman Das. Instrumental recitals include Biswajit Roy Chowdhury on Sarod and Abhay Rustum Sopari on Santoor, promising an enchanting musical experience for attendees.
Now in its 11th year, Music for Harmony is presented by NADD Foundation (Noble Art Documentation & Development), a non-profit organization founded by Durjay Bhaumik in 2007 to preserve and promote Indian classical music and its rich cultural heritage. Speaking about the festival, Pt. Durjay Bhaumik shared, “We organize these concerts every year, traveling to different states with renowned artistes from the Indian musical fraternity. Additionally, we strive to introduce talented musicians from remote locations to national and international audiences through these outreach programs.”
The Music for Harmony tour has already enchanted audiences across cities like Indore, Shimla, Nainital, Haldwani, Amritsar, Bengaluru, Chapra, Jhansi, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Vadodara. Continuing its mission to promote Indian classical music, the 2024–25 editions now extends its reach to Guwahati, Shantiniketan, and Dhanbad.
