BEMETARA,CG,INDIA: The government has issued necessary guidelines to protect people from extreme heat and heat stroke during the summer. The Chhattisgarh Revenue and Disaster Management Department has instructed all districts to take precautionary measures and remain vigilant to prevent heat-related illnesses. In response, the district administration has launched a public awareness campaign across various levels, including district, tehsil, and gram panchayats. Teachers, health workers, panchayat secretaries, and Kotwars have been directed to inform people, particularly vulnerable groups such as the elderly, children, pregnant women, and laborers, about the necessary precautions.
To ensure smooth implementation of these measures, Deputy Collector Pinky Manhar has been appointed as the District Nodal Officer for heat-related emergencies in Bemetara. The administration has advised people to avoid stepping out during peak heat hours from noon to 3 PM, stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water, wear light cotton clothes, and cover their heads when going outside. Those feeling unwell due to the heat are urged to seek immediate medical attention at the nearest health center.
The district administration has appealed to the public to follow these precautions and help spread awareness about heat stroke prevention to ensure the safety of everyone.
