CM to hold high-level meeting on April 15-16

RAIPUR,CG,INDIA: In a major step toward making the country Naxal-free by March 2026, the Chhattisgarh government is preparing a comprehensive roadmap for the coordinated development of the Bastar region. Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai will personally lead discussions with key officials and stakeholders during a two-day visit to Jagdalpur on April 15 and 16.

On April 15, the Chief Minister will hold consultations with secretaries, commissioners, collectors, and field-level officers working in Bastar. The discussions will focus on four major sectors: agriculture, animal husbandry and fisheries; tourism promotion; skill development; and related development activities. Officials posted in Bastar and stakeholders actively involved in these sectors have been invited to participate.

On April 16, Chief Minister Sai will review the implementation and progress of various government schemes with the Collectors, Superintendents of Police, Chief Executive Officers of District Panchayats, and Forest Officers from all districts of the Bastar Division.

Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, Subodh Singh, has issued directives to the Commissioners and Collectors from the departments of Agriculture, Commerce and Industry, Tourism, Skill Development, and Bastar Division to ensure necessary preparations for the meetings. He emphasized the need to accelerate the pace of development in Naxal-affected regions, particularly Bastar, and to build a district-wise roadmap for inclusive growth.

Officials have been instructed to refer to previous development plans as well as the "2047 Nava Anjor" vision document for guidance. Each topic will be allotted approximately one hour for detailed discussion. The concerned departmental secretaries will serve as convenors for the sessions and are expected to coordinate with the Divisional Commissioner of Bastar to invite all relevant stakeholders for the presentations.
