Raipur, CG: SECL CMD Prem Sagar Mishra on Wednesday had a courtesy meeting with Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai at the State Guest House Pahuna here.
CMD Mishra spoke on the role of SECL in the all-round development of Chhattisgarh. He also informed about various developmental works being done through CSR, Rail Corridor Projects, FMC Projects etc.
Last year SECL had deposited a revenue of about Rs 5,000 crore in the treasury, which is expected to increase to about Rs 6,000 crore this year. In the last five years, under CSR, SECL has implemented projects worth about Rs 250 crore for the development of state which are related to many areas like education, health, basic development etc. SECL's rail corridor projects, being developed at a cost of approximately Rs 10,000 crore, will become the harbingers of development in the remote areas of the state. More than 300 kilometres of rail network is being developed.
Mishra said that under sustainable development, the 40 MW ground mounted grid connected solar project being developed in Bishrampur and Bhatgaon area of Surajpur district is one of the biggest solar projects in Koylanchal. Three new eco parks are being established in Korba Coalfields while Manikpur Pokhri is being developed as an eco-tourism site.
Sai appreciated the development work being done by SECL and expressed best wishes for continuous progress on behalf of the state government.
