RAJNANDGAON,CG: In Rajnandgaon where the former Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel and BJP’s Member of Parliament Santosh Pandey are contesting election, district administration took stringent action in the case related to maintaining negligence in the election.
Rajnandgaon Collector cum District Election Officer suspended a clerk working in Public Works Department in Rajnandgaon district for maintaining negligence in election related duty.
The DEO Sanjay Agarwal suspended assistant grade-3 rank officer Manish Thakur for maintaining carelessness in his duty.
The DEO office informed the clerk was assigned to monitor the activities and c-vigil seriously and act accordingly but remained absent from his duty without intimating the office.
On the issue, the government servant was also served show cause notice. Despite he was issued notice, the accused did not properly respond to the notice and again committed the same mistake. Finally the district collector suspended him using his powers for violating government servant rules, one senior government officer said.
