Kalinga University organized IEEE MP Robotech Quest, the IEEE R10 Robotics Competition 2024: Stage-1

RAIPUR,CG: IEEE Madhya Pradesh Section and IEEE Kalinga University Student Branch organized IEEE R10 Robotics Competition 2024: Stage-1 monday at Kalinga University, Raipur. This prestigious event was organized in collaboration withSarnbasva University, Kalaburagi IEEE GNDEC, Bidar, and IEEE SB Jain College, Nagpur. The Registrar of the SarnbasvaUniversity along with Faculty members, Students, Participants and Volunteers from various prestigious institution from all over the country joined the event in Hybrid mode. Ms.Rupal Gupta, Research Associate, Kalinga University was the master of Inaugural Ceremony.

Prof. G S Tomar, the Chairperson, IEEE MP Section congratulated the University, and allparticipants who worked tirelessly to organize this event. He also appreciated Dr. Vijayalaxmi, Chairperson of IEEE WIE AG MP Section for her dedication and efforts. 

Dr. Sandeep Gandhi, Registrar, Kalinga University spoke about the literal meaning of the word ROBOT and the first ever Robotic Engineer. He encouraged the students for attending and promoting such events. Pankaj Tiwari, Director CCRC also graced the event with his presence.

The event was keenly scrutinized by two judges Dr. B Sangmesh, Associate professor, School of Engineering, JNU, New Delhi Connected online and Pravin Kulkarni, Senior GM, R&D and Projects, Godawari Electric Motors Pvt Ltd, Chhattisgarh. The evaluation was out of 150 marks by each judge by observing various parameters set for Robotic evaluation. There were total 23 teams from 7 different states participated in the event.Many school students also witnessed the event and got motivated towards STEM education.

Mr.Pratham and his team from Amity University Raipur and Kalinga University, Raipur were the Winners of the competition with cash prize of Rs 8000/-. Mr.Somasundaram Sand teamfrom Chennai secured the 1st runner up position with the cash award of Rs 4000/- and Anshit Mishra and team from ITM University, Gwalior secured 2nd runner up position with Rs. 2500/- cash prize. The top two teams will be nominated for the Stage 2 of the competition.

The event concluded by certificate distribution and Vote of thanks by Anup KumarJana, Vice Chair, Web Management, IEEE MP Section, & Assistant Professor cum IQAC Coordinator of Kalinga University.

Overall the event has created a significant impact to the student community.
