Session on eclampsia management held

RAIPUR,CG: The Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Medical College, Raipur in Chhattisgarh and the Indian Society of Perinatology and Reproductive Biology (ISOPARB) on Tuesday organised workshops on maternal and newborn health at a private hotel.

The objective of the workshop was on the theme “Commitment to Perinatal Health Care” to improve maternal and perinatal health in every corner of the country.

Various scientific sessions were organized on innovations and new approaches in the field of Obstetrics and Gynecology as well as Anesthesia, Pediatrics and Radiology. Dr. Trupti Nagaria, Dean of Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru Memorial Medical College, Raipur and Dr. Jyoti Jaiswal, Head of Gynecology Department led the event.

Expert Dr. Sarita Agarwal and Dr. Supriya Gupta explained how to tackle emergencies like eclampsia (a complication occurring during pregnancy) through demonstration on an advanced simulator. Experts provided information on prompt and emergency care of maternal health using the advanced Victoria simulator specially procured from Hyderabad.

Conference President Dr. Trupti Nagaria and Secretary Dr. Jyoti Jaiswal conducted an intensive session on management of vaginal delivery, sharing valuable techniques to enhance delivery outcomes in challenging circumstances. Dr

Training in neonatal resuscitation techniques was given by Dr. Omkar Khandwal and Dr. Akash Lalwani.

Dr. Narayan Jana (Kolkata), National President of ISOPRB, led by Dr. Ruchi Kishore and Dr. Dharwal highlighted advancement in promoting graduate learning through practical training in labor room protocols.

The Department of Anesthesia under Dr. Jaya Lalwani conducted an important workshop on teaching labor analgesia techniques, methods of painless vaginal delivery and enhancing patient comfort during delivery.
