Friendship between parents, children is important: Dr Singh

RAIPUR,CG: Raipur District Collector Dr. Gaurav Singh on Thursday said that parents and teachers should not put pressure on children for the examination results. It is necessary for parents to behave in a friendly manner with children.

Addressing the parents and teachers in the stress management workshop for school children at Shaheed Smarak Bhawan, he said that they should create a better environment at home to keep children’s minds fresh during exams. In today's time, maturity among children has increased due to the advent of digital content. All children have different talents. Understand their talents and enhance them. So that they do not feel pressured to deviate from their basic instincts.

Dr. Singh said that before the examination results, children should be taken out of the stressful environment. Make children study regularly. Do not put pressure on foster children to study. Be friendly. Also, make children practice reading any content in writing. Make it a habit for children to exercise in their daily routine. Apart from this, children should have healthy relationships between their parents. This reduces stress in children. Parents need to be role models for children.

He adds, to take children out of a stressful environment, give them the opportunity to pursue hobbies. This will enhance their natural talents.

He said that an essay competition should be organized for children before the results of the board examinations. An essay competition should be organized on the topic of the country's role in the Lok Sabha elections. Children who write better essays will be given the opportunity to have tea with the collector.
