Project Swastik Organises Series Of Activities To Celebrate 65th Raising Day Of BRO

NEW DELHI: To celebrate the 65th Raising Day of the Border Roads Organisation (BRO), Project Swastik orchestrated a series of captivating activities showcasing the organization’s commitment to excellence and community engagement.

Amidst the breathtaking landscapes of North Sikkim, Project Swastik hosted a spectacular bike rally, featuring nine skilled bikers navigating through challenging terrains. Commencing from the iconic Rangma range, the rally wound its way through scenic locales including Lachen, Zeema, Donkhyala Pass, and Lachung, before returning to the starting point. The event not only honoured BRO’s legacy of connectivity but also highlighted the exceptional skills of its personnel.

The rally was flagged off by Pipen of Lachen, and witnessed by various civil society members. Riders were warmly welcomed at key stops including Lachen, Thangu, Shivmandir, and Lachung, where they engaged with locals, spreading awareness about BRO’s initiatives to restore connectivity in the region.

In the vibrant city of Gangtok, over 300 BRO personnel led by the Chief Engineer participated in an energetic walkathon covering a distance of 2.5 kilometres. Starting at the plant nursery between Tashi View Point and Ganesh Tok, the route led participants on a scenic journey culminating at Tashi View Point. The walkathon embodied the spirit of BRO’s mission to foster unity and progress.

These events underscored BRO’s unwavering dedication to enhancing connectivity, promoting adventure, and strengthening community bonds. As the organisation commemorates 65 years of service, it looks ahead to continuing its journey of innovation and service for years to come.
