RAIPUR,CG,BHARAT: The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), Raipur, will organize Manak Mahotsav-2024 on October 14, 2024, at Hotel Courtyard by Marriott, Labhandi, Raipur, to mark World Standards Day.
The event, themed “Shared Vision for a Better World,” will commence at 3:30 PM and will be inaugurated by Brijmohan Agarwal, Member of Parliament for Raipur Lok Sabha constituency.
The main goal of Manak Mahotsav-2024 is to promote Sustainable Development Goal 9 (SDG-9), which focuses on building resilient infrastructure, fostering inclusive and sustainable industrialization, and encouraging innovation. BIS will use this platform to engage with various stakeholders and share insights on how industry, innovation, and infrastructure can contribute to a better world.
The event will also feature cultural performances by student members of standard clubs from various educational institutions, including Late Shri Ram Mintu Sharma Government Higher Secondary School, Dumtrarai; Pandit Ram Sahay Government English Medium Higher Secondary School, Mahoba Bazar, Raipur; and Kendriya Vidyalaya, CISF, Utai. Other participating schools include Government Co-Education Polytechnic, Raipur, and Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering and Technology, Raipur. Performances will also be presented by students from J.R. Dani Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Raipur; Kendriya Vidyalaya, WR S Colony, Raipur; and Kendriya Vidyalaya, Deendayal Upadhyay Nagar, Raipur.
The celebration of standards aims to strengthen connections between BIS and its stakeholders, promoting sustainable development and innovation in industries across the region.
