RAIPUR,CG,BHARAT: The five members appointed against the vacancy of five posts of Chhattisgarh State Women Commission took charge of office on Thursday.
Lakshmi Verma of Balodabazar, Priyamvada Singh Judev of Jashpur, Sarla Kosaria of Mahasamund, Ojasvi Mandavi of Dantewada and Deepika Sori of Sukma took charge in the Commission office.
Chhattisgarh State Women's Commission Chairman Dr. Kiranmayi Nayak congratulated all the newly appointed members and asked them to work together in the interests of women.
It may be noted that the tenure of the old members of the State Women Commission had ended on June 27, 2024.
The Chairperson of Chhattisgarh State Women's Commission had sent a letter to Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai demanding the appointment of all the five members of the State Women's Commission as soon as possible along with the appointment of members from all the divisions, especially from Surguja and Bastar divisions.
During the charge of the members in the Commission office, Beltara MLA Sushant Shukla, State Women Commission Secretary Manoj Kumar Sinha, Assistant Director Pushpa Kiran Kujur, Commission employees and a large number of workers were present.
