RAIPUR,INDIA: Out of 14 municipal corporations, the reservation breakdown includes four for the OBC category, two for Scheduled Castes (SC), and one for Scheduled Tribes (ST). Additionally, the Raipur Mayor post has been reserved for the General Women category, as has Birgaon Municipal Corporation adjacent to Raipur.

The reservation process for municipal body elections in Chhattisgarh was conducted on Tuesday at the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Auditorium, located on the Science College campus.

Reservation Categories for Municipalities, reserved for Scheduled Castes (SC) are Abhanpur, Bagbahra, Sarangarh, Dongargarh, Janjgir Naila, Akaltara and Pandariya,

Reserved for Scheduled Tribes (ST) are Narayanpur, Jashpur Nagar, Balrampur, Sukma, Dantewada and Bijapur

Reserved for OBC are Dalli Rajhara, Bade Bacheli, Lormi, Katghora, Bemetara, Kondagaon, Kawardha, Ahiwara, Manendragarh, Surajpur and Kumhari

Reserved for General Women are Shivpur Charcha, Takhatpur, Kirandul, Jamul, Khairagarh, Bodri, Balod, Saraipali and Bakingmongra.

Unreserved Municipalities are Sakti, Kharsia, Kanker, Champa, Ratanpur, Bhatapara, Balodabazar, Mungeli, Gariaband, Arang, Mahasamund, Gaurela, Amleshwar, Baikunthpur, and Ramanujganj.
