CG NEWS: Centre of Excellence will be built in CSVTU: CM

RAIPUR: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Friday said that the Centre of Excellence will be established at Swami Vivekananda Technical University.

It would be built at a cost of Rs 15 crore and will have space for startup units and a lab. He was addressing the Youth of Durg Division. He said the Bangalore GST authority has imposed 12 percent GST on the students living in the hostel. The Government of India has been asked to withdraw the decision. If this decision is not withdrawn, then the Chhattisgarh government will bear the amount. Government will not allow extra burden on the children.

In his address, the Chief Minister gave detailed information about the work done related to the interests of all sections.

He said the state government had opened the vacancies for recruitment for 41,000 posts.

The youth raised questions regarding the opening of the vacancies in different departments, including appointment of music teachers.

The Chief Minister said that earlier there were no colleges attached with Indira Music and Arts University, Khairagarh. Now there are 5 affiliated colleges, due to which it has opened avenues for the appointment of music professors.

During interaction, Vimal Soni said that the appointment of the constable should also be done soon. The Chief Minister said that at present the recruitment of other posts in the police department is going on, as soon as it is completed, we will start the recruitment process for constables.

Sanjana, a nursing student, demanded an increase in stipend. Baghel said it is already in consideration. Aarti Deshmukh said that the scope in polytechnics will increase when software companies come here. He said the work is in progress, soon the news will reach.

One student sought a 24x7 library in Durg in lines of Nalanda Parisar of Raipur. Baghel said Durg will have such a centre named ‘Takshashila Complex’. A budget of Rs 20 crore has been given.

Kamlesh Sahu said that if coaches are provided in rural areas, the sports culture will improve. Baghel said the state have started 8 residential sports academies. New stadiums have been built.
