RAIPUR: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel will hoist the national flag at Police Parade Ground in Raipur on August 15, marking the occasion of Independence Day.
He will then take the salute of the parade. He would then address the state's citizens at 9:25 AM.
He will also take part in presenting medals and awards, commencing at 9:50 AM.
Deputy Chief Minister T.S. Singhdeo will participate in the event at Surguja and Assembly Speaker Dr. Charandas Mahant at Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur district headquarters. In other district headquarters, ministers and parliamentary secretaries will unfurl the national flag and read out the message of the chief minister for people of the state.
Panchayat, Rural Development and School Education Minister Ravindra Choubey in Bemetara, Home and Public Works Minister Tamradhwaj Sahu in Durg, Forest and Climate Change Minister Mohammad Akbar in Kabirdham, Food and Culture Minister Amarjeet Bhagat in Rajnandgaon, Revenue Minister Jaisingh Agarwal in Gaurela- Pendra-Marwahi, Women and Child Development Minister Anila Bhendia in Balod, Higher Education Minister Umesh Patel in Raigarh, Tribal and Scheduled Caste Development Minister Mohan Markam in Kondagaon, Industry Minister Kawasi Lakhma in Sukma, Public Health Engineering and Gramodyog Minister Guru Rudrakumar in Mungeli, Urban Administration Minister Dr. Shivkumar Dahria in Janjgir-Champa and Member of Parliament Mrs. Jyotsna Charandas Mahant will be hoisting national flag in Korba.
