After a decade, recruitment process for 465 posts of Home Guards

RAIPUR,CG: On the instructions of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, the recruitment process for city soldiers has begun after almost a decade. Recruitment will be conducted for 465 posts in the districts of the Bilaspur revenue division. The process will take place from September 16th to October 1st at the Fire and SDRF ground located at Bharni Parsada. Approximately 21,000 candidates have applied for the 465 city soldier positions. On Tuesday, Bilaspur Collector Awanish Sharan and Superintendent of Police Rajnesh Singh inspected the fire brigade and SDRF ground at Bharni Parsada and instructed the concerned officers to ensure necessary preparations.

DIG of Fire and Emergency Services, S.K. Thakur, stated that out of the 465 sanctioned posts, 200 are for city soldiers and 265 are for women city soldiers in women’s hostels. Each day, the efficiency test of about 1,500 candidates will be conducted in the field. The test will be worth 100 marks. For male candidates, the test will include a 100-meter race, 800-meter race, long jump, and high jump. For female candidates, all events except the 100-meter race will be held. Out of the 200 city soldier posts, 75 are allocated to Bilaspur district, with 25 posts each for Mungeli, Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi, Raigarh, Korba, and Janjgir-Champa districts. Date-specific call letters have been issued to all candidates. During the efficiency test, candidates must bring their caste certificate, residence certificate, employment office registration, NCC-C certificate, heavy vehicle driving license, and a certificate from division-level or higher-level sports competitions.

Bilaspur Collector and Superintendent of Police inspected the fire brigade and SDRF ground at Bharni Parsada, reviewed the preparations, and assigned responsibilities to the concerned officers. They instructed the officers to make necessary arrangements for leveling the recruitment ground, cordoning off and barricading the area, organizing various events, providing medical teams, drinking water, dustbins, mobile toilets, and ensuring law and order, as well as traffic management in and around the recruitment ground. DFO Satyadev Sharma and CEO of District Panchayat Ramprasad Chauhan were also present during the inspection.
