MoS discusses plan for Mahamaya Mandir Corridor

RAIPUR,CG,INDIA: Union Minister of State for Housing and Urban Affairs Tokhan Sahu has reaffirmed his commitment to realising a grand vision for the Mahamaya Mandir corridor in Ratanpur, Chhattisgarh.

Echoing the monumental developments seen in Ayodhya, Kashi, and Mahakal, the Union Minister of Minister envisions a similar transformation for the eleventh-century Mahamaya Mandir.

He called for a meeting with the officials of National Buildings Construction Corporation (NBCC) at Nirman Bhawan in New Delhi on Friday.  In the meeting, K P  Mahadevaswamy, CMD (NBCC), R.N Shina, CGM (NBCC), along with his team were present and briefed Union Minister of State Sahu about the detailed plan.

Earlier, in respect of the faith of crores of people, the Minister had put forth a demand to build a corridor in Ratanpur, and met Union Tourism Minister, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat. 

The NBCC presented a development plan for the Mahamaya Mandir corridor. To ensure that the temple's grandeur is matched by its facilities, the development plan proposes- comprehensive infrastructural development- Jyoti Kaksh, Bhagvat Manch, Prathana Sthal, Karyalay, Museum and so on. Enhanced visitor amenities like hotel, shops, and increased accessibility with multiple parking areas were also discussed.

The Minister's vision seeks to elevate the Mahamaya Mandir as a major spiritual destination. This initiative aims not only to preserve the temple's historical essence but also to provide a revitalised and enriching experience for visitors. It will significantly boost religious tourism in the state.
