RAIPUR,CG,INDIA: In a significant achievement for National Institute of Technology (NIT) Raipur, 15 faculty members have been featured in the prestigious ‘World Ranking of Top 2% Scientists/Researchers’ list for 2024, released by Stanford University, USA. The list is compiled annually based on Scopus data, using multiple parameters and indicators provided by Elsevier’s ICSR lab, to recognize excellence in various fields of science and technology.
The honoured faculty members include Dilip Singh Sisodia and Dr. Pradeep Singh from the Department of Computer Science & Engineering (CSE), Dr. Anamika Yadav, Dr. Sachin Jain, and Dr. Rajan Kumar from the Department of Electrical Engineering (EE), Dr. Awanish Kumar, Dr. Pratima Gupta, and Dr. Lata Sheo Bachchan Upadhyay from the Department of Biotechnology (BTE), Dr. Rakesh Tripathi and Dr. Govind P. Gupta from the Department of Information Technology (IT), Dr. Prem Kumar Chaurasiya and Dr. Mohan Kumar Pradhan from the Department of Mechanical Engineering (ME), Dr. Ayush Khare from the Department of Physics (DoP), Dr. Sudip Kumar Sinha from the Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering (MME), and Dr. Bikesh Kumar Singh from the Department of Biomedical Engineering (BME).
Key areas of expertise include Artificial Intelligence and Image Processing, represented by Dr. Sisodia, Dr. Singh, Dr. Gupta, and Dr. Singh, while Dr. Tripathi specializes in Networking and Telecommunication. Dr. Jain and Dr. Kumar work in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, and Dr. Yadav and Dr. Chaurasiya focus on Energy. In the field of Biotechnology, Dr. Gupta and Dr. Upadhyay excel, with Dr. Kumar contributing significantly to Pharmacology & Pharmacy.
