BILASPUR,CG,BHARAT: Professor Alok Kumar Chakrawal, Vice Chancellor of Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya (GGV) Bilaspur, has been honored with the Observer Lifetime Achievement Award-2024 by the Observer Peace Foundation, Varanasi, for his contributions to the field of education.
Under Prof. Chakrawal’s leadership, GGV, the only Central University in Chhattisgarh, has been actively implementing the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, promoting the vision of a self-reliant India through various educational initiatives. The university has made notable advancements in research and innovation, with 190 published patents and 66 granted patents. A tech center has been established, and several national and international MOUs have been signed.
In addition to academic achievements, GGV has introduced programs like the Svavalambi Chhattisgarh Scheme, Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya Swabhiman Thali, Guru Ghasidas University Shravan Line Service, and the Sudama Scheme, aimed at fulfilling social responsibilities and promoting inclusivity.
The Observer Peace Foundation, led by Prof. Amar Jyoti Singh and Prof. Amar Bahadur Singh, recognized Prof. Chakrawal for his efforts. The foundation's leaders are noted for their achievements, including mentions in the Limca Book of Records.
