CG NEWS: Government committed for progress in Bastar division: CM

JAGDALPUR: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Wednesday expressed his commitment to foster progress and development in the Naxal-affected Bastar division.

He was having an interactive session with youths of seven districts of Bastar division, at the Government Kakatiya PG College Ground, Dharampura in Jagdalpur, for nearly 3 hours.

The youth from Bastar, North Bastar Kanker, Dantewada, Bijapur, Sukma, Narayanpur, and Kondagaon districts participated.

“I am genuinely delighted to have engaged in a face-to-face interaction with the youth representing seven districts of the Bastar division today. Throughout the programme, the youth also shared valuable insights and suggestions”, he said.

He said the state government will make all efforts for bringing progress and prosperity in the Naxal-affected Bastar district.

Gifts for Youth

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Wednesday at Jagdalpur during interaction with youth pledged to set up a wrestling academy in Kondagaon, establish an Agriculture College in Sukma next year, allocation of Rs. 4 crore for Sukma College, number of seats in Narayanpur PMT Girls College to be increased from 50 to 100 and build an outdoor stadium and central library in Narayanpur as per demand.

He also gave approval for hostel in Jagdalpur Danteshwari Girls College, construction of boundary wall for Bhopalpatnam College, a new college building, and a hostel, establish a college in Charama for DCA and PGDCA next year as per demand and to open a PG College from current year.

He also approved Rs. 4 crores for additional rooms in the government college located in District Headquarters Sukma.
